Minecraft 1.8 - What new stuff is in 1.8? Part 2!

Now skeletons have big bows! :P


Also, with bows you have to pull back/charge them to make then fly farther! No more just clicking to shoot :P

You can also sprint now! No more taking forever to get places! Well, I guess it will take a little to get places still... But, with sprinting you can to critical hits and send mobs flying!

There is a new high-quality setting for minecraft! Play minecraft like a king :D

Biomes are also bigger and you can see them easier.

You can always know when the servers are up and how many people are on.

Hunger!

You have to eat or else when your food bar is out you will start losing health. Kinda the same as drowning. Also, only when your food bar you will heal. So keep the food bar up! :P

Also, there's a new eating animation. But I couldn't find any pictures ;(

XP Bar!

Unfortunately this bar does nothing for you at the moment. Just fills up then you can keep filing it up.... But, at least we k now soon we'll get some xp related stuff!

New Minecraft Lighting Engine!
Now you can live minecraft in style :D
The new lighting makes everything look nice.

Makes houses look good :P

Iron Bars!


These are very good for tall fences to block mobs :P Or you can just use fences.
Except, these look nicer :D

But, to stay on the fences... Minecraft has fence gates now!

Yay! :D Now you don't have to use doors for gates xD

Notch also added some new stair types, including stone and brick stairs.

Cobwebs! (Now they spawn in Minecraft! :D)
Cobwebs normally are in caves and they sometimes surround spider spawners. So be careful o_O

Whats coming up in 1.9?
So far we know that we'll have NPCs in the villages.
Bosses in strongholds!
Strongholds/Nether bricks in the Nether
New Biomes!
New Red Cow
New Grass Block
Possibly adding volcanoes.
Skills might be added :D
Animal breeding
Increased number of strongholds from three to unlimited
New/Improved Armor system
Increased armor durability

So I'm looking forward to that :D

Minecraft 1.8 - What new stuff is in 1.8?

Minecraft 1.8 originally was suppose to come out on the 8th, then the 12th, then the 13th, now the 14th or 15th? Its because Notch (creator or Minecraft) wants to make sure when he
releases this that everything will be good and ready for us intense Minecraft players.

Whats new in 1.8?
Okay, lets start at the mobs. The pigs have new noses! Yay, lol.

And they added these new creepy guys named Endermen. If you look at them they'll give you the stare of evil o_O



Yeah! Like that above! Then when you look away they'll teleport to you and kill yah!
They also take blocks when they run into stuff... My house ;(

Also another mob they added was Cave Spiders!



They have venom attack which takes 1/2 a heart about every 1 1/2 second for about 15 seconds. These spawn with spawners and the spawners are normally are surrounded in webs.

Notch also added Silverfish.



Yes, that is creepy looking. They sometimes when you mine stone.
So just build out of wood :P
Now zombies drop rotten flesh that can be consumed.
Yes, I always wanted zombie flesh!

Now enough about mobs. Lets get down to the food :D

They added watermelon, beef and chicken :D Best three things in the world.Well best three foods.

They also added big mushrooms, Use bonemeal to make big mushrooms!
BOOM you get one! They can grow on grass, dirt, snow, stone, just about anything :P

They block mobs vision so you can use them as windows :D

STRONG HOLDS!!! (3 per world :P)


Strongholds contain varios rooms and doors. Strongholds are mostly made of Stone brick, mossy stone brick, and cracked stone brick with doors of both types, iron bars, chests, bookcases and buttons. Strongholds also have librarys.
Treaures found in strongholds include books,coal, iron ingots, red apples, and paper.

Ruins!
Ruins are kinda link strongholds but above ground.

There are a two different game modes now.
Creative Mode:
Allows flying, insta-break, unlimited items from an item palette, no damage, and more

Adventure Mode:
Doesn't allow any of this :P

Adventure mode is pretty much survival.

Abandoned Mine Shafts!

Abandoned mine shafts are series of straight tunnels that are three blocks wide and with an uneven ceiling with the height of two-three blocks. The supports are made of wooden planks. Incomplete series of minecraft tracks can be found in the tunnels.

Chest now have open/close animation!

Cool eh? :P
